Privacy Notice

This notice applies to information held about clients and prospective clients, curators, academics, journalists, publishers,

suppliers and dealers, specialists, art advisors, artists, contacts and all other persons about whom the artist Jonathan

Parker holds information. By ‘information’ I mean personal information about you that I collect, use, share and store.

In this notice, ‘I’, ‘me’ and ‘my’ means Jonathan Parker, the self-employed artist creating artworks in a detached studio

in Wimbledon, London previously used by John Doman, Joyce Bidder and Daisy T. Borne and ‘you’ means the individual

to whom the information relates.

What information do I collect from you?

Information about you that you give me by corresponding with me by phone, e-mail, via my website, in person or by post;

This may include your name, contact details such as your address, email address and telephone and fax numbers, as well

as information relating to your interest in my artworks and exhibitions.

Furthermore, information relating to your purchases and use of my services including details for framing, deliveries and

shipping; Information related to your attendance of exhibition private views and information in relation to your interests in

my artworks via online platforms including Instagram and Twitter.


Why do I collect this information?

My processing of your personal information is a necessary part of my practice as an artist in order to provide you with a good

service when responding to enquiries about artworks and making purchases from me and to keep you informed about my

activities, as well as for my own marketing and research.


How I use your information

To keep you informed about my art practice, deal with enquiries, as well as to process any information required in order to

process a sale by me, of any of my artworks, to you;

To carry out obligations arising from any agreements entered into between you and me;

To comply with legal and regulatory obligations

Who might I share your information with?

I will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless I have your permission or am required by

law to do so.

The personal information you provide to me may be shared with third party companies, agents, contractors, service

providers or affiliated companies if this is reasonably required by me to provide you with my artworks, respond to enquiries

or for any of the purposes described in this notice.


Where is your data stored and processed?

Your personal information may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (EEA) &

may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for one of the service providers.

When I, or my permitted third parties, transfer your information outside the EEA, I or they will impose obligations on the

recipients of that data to protect your information to the standard required in the EEA or otherwise require the recipient to

subscribe to international frameworks intended to enable secure data sharing.

By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing and processing. I will take all reasonable steps

necessary to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy notice.

How long will I keep your information?

I will keep the information I collect about you for as long as required for the purposes set out above or as required to comply

with any legal obligations to which I am subject.  This will involve me periodically reviewing my files to check that information

is accurate, up-to-date and still required.

Where I am permitted to send you my email newsletter I may retain your contact information necessary for this purpose, for

as long as I have your consent and you do not ask to be taken off my mailing list. If you opt out from my mailing list, I will

retain information to enable me to respect your wishes not to be contacted.


How can you access the information I hold about you?

You can ask to see the information that I have about you. You can also also ask me to change it, correct it,

If you have any concerns about my use of your information, you also have the right (as a UK resident) to make a complaint

to the Information Commissioner’s Office, which regulates and supervises the use of personal data in the UK.
